Elevator Pitch No.1

This was an actual Elevator pitch that I gave to a recruiter during Heavener Career Week. The company that I was pitching to was Heartland Dental. Because I'm a pre-dental student, this was a company that I was actually interested in working for over the summer. I let the recruiter know that I was going to record what I say for the sake of an assignment and he declined to be in the video. I actually ended up getting an interview for a summer internship with them and they later extended an offer to me, which I accepted. The opportunity here stemmed from Heartland Dental needing employees for this upcoming summer, as they were shorthanded in staff. The solution was to attend Heavener Career Week to recruit students for those summer positions, like me.

  1. You did a really good job on the physical aspect of the presentation. I liked that you dressed professionally and neatly for this pitch. I also like that you shook hands with the other person, because that shows you understand professional etiquette. I would have liked to see you face forward, but overall, I believe you made a good presentation in this pitch and you represented yourself well. 2. Also: I liked that you used a whole shot of yourself. I only used myself from the chest and up. I think we both used our hands a decent amount of times in our pitches and we expressed ourselves with our hands well.

  3. Hey Abraham! I think that your pitch had good use of confidence and it was also a great way to showcase your experience that you had beforehand as well as outline some characteristics that your previous experience led you to build. That was also a good opportunity you spotted, as keeping an eye out for demand of labor could point for the right moment to look for a job or internship.

  4. Hello Abraham. Great elevator pitch. I agree with the other comments, you were very confident and concise in your pitch. It's awesome you landed the position, you obviously know how to market yourself to recruiters. Some good hand motion but could have been a little less stiff. Other than that, great job, good information to give, and finally it was good that you ended with asking the recruiter a question about their company. That was a huge plus.
